Alsace: History, Wine & Scenic Beauty –
Spoil Yourself with Culinary Delights
The region, with its fascinating history, offers a culinary diversity not matched by many other cities in Europe. The combination of good, solid German food and fine French cuisine creates a highly remarkable and special culinary style throughout the past centuries..
Visitors from all over the world come to Strasbourg to enjoy the well- known French specialties such as Foie Gras and Escargots (snails), Bouchées à la Reine (small flaky pastries), Baeckeoffe (meat and potato casserole), and Quiche and of course Tarte flambée and Sauerkraut. If you have not tried any of these Alsatian specialties yet, now is the time to discover them! Start with a classical aperitif the “Crémant d´Alsace”, the Alsatian equivalent of champagne and complete the perfect dinner, we recommend trying either an Alsatian beer or one of the famous white wines of the region…
