Enjoyed by its own overnight guests or by groups in-residence at the Château, our Teepee Camp is a common favorite among visitors here at the Château de Pourtalès.

Situated in a peaceful, wooded area right near the Château, our Teepee Camp succeeds in a rare synergy of rustic nature and pure elegance. Perhaps it is because our teepees are authentic and lovingly constructed by hand here on our grounds, or maybe it is due to some miracle that occurs anytime a true craftsman is at work. Whatever the reason, an evening in our Teepee Camp is sure to be one you’ll never forget.

No social experience we offer here at the Château de Pourtalès is more highly anticipated than our Teepee Camp BBQs. Guests enjoy savory grilled meats, a variety of tasty side dishes, and a fine selection of beverages by candlelight while cozying up to the campfire in beautiful, one-of-a-kind hand-carved chairs. This intimate setting offers the perfect atmosphere to socialize and get to know each other, or just to unwind after a day of touring, training or team-building.

Even in cool weather, our teepees are nice and comfortable. Designed according to their original use as shelter for the family, each teepee has a multi-purpose stone-rimmed fire pit in the center. Teepees are ventilated, also in the traditional style, by an opening in the top, which allows smoke to escape while the teepee retains its heat when a fire is burning inside.

Rustic and comfortable, our Teepee Camp can accommodate just over 30 guests for overnight stays, housed among four teepees: one large teepee for about 12 people and three smaller teepees, each suitable for around 7 guests.

Our Teepee Camp will warm your spirit as it brings together nature, good food and lasting friends in its intimate, campfire-lit setting. One evening will surely leave you hungry for more.
